Telekom improves mobile network coverage in Wallhausen

The mobile phone supply in Wallhausen was recently significantly improved by a new location of the location. This measure not only expanded the coverage of the mobile network, but there is also more bandwidth available overall. In addition, the reception in buildings could be optimized.

The need for bandwidth continuously increases by around 30 percent per year. Therefore, Telekom continues its pace in mobile phone expansion in order to meet the increasing requirements. Georg von Wagner, company spokesman for Deutsche Telekom, emphasizes: "The need for bandwidth is constantly increasing - around 30 percent per year. That is why we continue to pace in mobile phone expansion."

The current status and the future plans

Telekom now operates a total of 82 mobile phone locations in the Mansfeld-Südharz district. The coverage of households is about 99 percent. A further 27 locations are to be added by 2026. In addition, the company is planning extensions with LTE or 5G on 15 radio masts.

However, Telekom rely on cooperation with the municipalities or owners of land in order to rent required areas for new locations.
