Telekom counters: Höcke lies over advertising slogan

Deutsche Telekom has a statement by the AfD politician Björn Höcke regarding an alleged earlier advertising slogan of the company and examines legal steps. Höcke, who acts as an AfD candidate for the state election in Thuringia, claimed in a TV duel with the CDU politician Mario Voigt that Telekom used the slogan "Everything for Germany" a few years ago. Telekom made it clear that this claim is wrong.

The sentence mentioned is a forbidden solution of the SA, the paramilitary fighting organization of the NSDAP. Due to the use of this slogan in a speech, Höcke will have to answer for the allegation of using indicators in Halle next week before the district court in Halle.

not for the first time that Telekom is making statements from AfD politicians. Last year, the company already acted against AfD federal spokeswoman Alice Weidel after making similar claims regarding the advertising slogan. Telekom asked Weidel to refrain from this claims.

Höcke defended his choice of words in the TV duel and claimed that during the speech he did not know that it was a SA slogan. He described the sentence as a "common saying". It remains to be seen how the legal dispute between Telekom and Höcke continues in relation to the politicians' statements in question.
