Telekom complains against Höcke statement

Deutsche Telekom has made it clear that Björn Höcke, AfD politician and top candidate for the state election in Thuringia, does not correspond to the truth with regard to an alleged earlier advertising slogan. Höcke claimed in a TV duel against the CDU politician Mario Voigt that Telekom had used the slogan "Everything for Germany" in the past. Telekom rejected this claim and examines legal steps against Höcke.

The sentence mentioned is a forbidden solution of the SA, the paramilitary fighting organization of the NSDAP. Björn Höcke will be charged with the use of this slogan in a speech in the coming week before the district court in Halle because of the allegation of using the license plate.

Deutsche Telekom had already taken legal steps against AfD federal spokeswoman Alice Weidel last year, after taking similar false statements about the company's supposed advertising saying. Weidel was asked to refrain these claims in the future, whereupon she said.

björn Höcke justified his choice of words in the TV duel and stated that he did not know during the speech that it was a SA slogan. He described the saying as a "common saying". Telekom confirmed that Höcke's claims were wrong and has announced their legal steps.
