Telekom invests in the expansion of the mobile network in the district of Jerichower Land

Telekom has invested in the expansion of its mobile network in the Jerichower Land district in the past two months and can now offer improved mobile phone supply in the region. By expanding a location with LTE, the cover and bandwidth of the mobile network could be increased. The reception is now much better in both rural areas and in buildings. The expanded location is particularly available in the city of Genthin.

The need for bandwidth continuously increases by around 30 percent per year, so it is important for Telekom to advance the expansion of the mobile phone network. That is why we continue to pace in mobile phone expansion," says Georg von Wagner, company spokesman for Deutsche Telekom.

currently, Telekom operates 53 locations in the Jerichower Land district, which means that almost 100 percent of households have mobile phone supply. By 2026, Telekom will plan the expansion by another 26 locations. Extensions with LTE or 5G are also planned at 27 radio masts.
