Telekom improves mobile phone supply in the district of Vorpommern-Greifswald
The mobile phone supply in the district of Vorpommern-Greifswald has significantly improved by the measures of Telekom in the past two months. During this period, a new mobile phone location was built and another location was expanded with 5G. These expansion measures not only increased the area covering in the district, but more range is also available overall. The improvement in reception in buildings is particularly gratifying. The new locations are located in the municipalities of Lütow and Zinnowitz.
"The need for bandwidth is steadily increasing - about 30 percent per year. For this reason, we continue the pace when expanding the mobile phone network," says Georg von Wagner, company spokesman for Deutsche Telekom.

Telekom currently operates 143 mobile phone locations in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district. The coverage of households is almost 100 percent. A further 74 locations are to be added by 2025. In addition, extensions with LTE or 5G are planned at 74 radio masts.
Telekom, however, depends on cooperation with the municipalities or the owners in order to rent new locations.
