Telekom improves mobile phone supply in the district of Meißen

In the district of Meißen, mobile phone supply has been significantly improved. Deutsche Telekom has expanded a location with LTE in the past two months. This expansion not only increases the coverage of the mobile network in the entire district, but also more bandwidth is also available. It is particularly gratifying that the reception in buildings has also become noticeably better. The location that has ensured these improvements is in Riesa. In addition, this location also contributes to mobile supply along the Saxony-West railway line.

"Since the need for bandwidth continuously increases - about 30 percent per year - we continue the expansion of the mobile phone network at a high pace," says Georg von Wagner, spokesman for Deutsche Telekom.

With a total of 115 locations, Deutsche Telekom is well positioned in the Meißen district. The coverage of households is currently around 99 percent. Another 22 locations are to be added by 2026. Extensions with LTE or 5G are also planned on 59 radio masts.
