Telekom denied Höcke's claim: Everything for Germany was never a promotion

Deutsche Telekom has vigorously reacted to an assertion by the AfD politician Björn Höcke, according to which the company allegedly used an earlier advertising slogan. During a TV duel, Höcke claimed that Telekom had used the sentence "Everything for Germany" as an advertising saying. Telekom clearly rejected this statement and examines legal steps because the claim is wrong.

The sentence "Everything for Germany" is a forbidden solution of the Sturm Department (SA), the paramilitary fighting organization of the NSDAP. Due to the use of this slogan in a speech, Höcke will have to answer for the allegation of using indicators in Halle next week.

It is not the first time that Telekom is doing false claims. Last year, the company was defending itself against statements by AfD federal spokeswoman Alice Weidel, who also incorrectly claimed that Telekom had used this sentence as an advertising slogan. Telekom asked Weidel to refrain these assumptions, whereupon it agreed to refrain from doing so in the future.

Höcke defended his choice of words and claimed during the TV duel that he did not know that the sentence was a SA slogan. He described it as a "common saying". TELEKOM as well as taking legal action against the wrong claims of politicians underlines the need for companies to act against the spread of false information.
