Telekom denies: AfD lie about advertising blends

Deutsche Telekom has rejected the statement by the AfD politician Björn Höcke into an alleged former advertising slogan of the company and examines legal steps. In a TV duel with the CDU politician Mario Voigt, Höcke claimed that Telekom used the sentence "Everything for Germany" a few years ago as an advertising saying, which was described by Telekom.

The sentence in question is a forbidden solution of the storm department (SA), the paramilitary fighting organization of the NSDAP. Due to the use of this slogan in a speech, Höcke must be responsible for the allegation of using the license plate for the accusation of anti -constitutional organizations.

Telekom had already taken legal steps against AfD federal spokeswoman Alice Weidel last year, after she also claimed that the group used the sentence as an advertising slogan. Weidel was asked to refrain from this claim, whereupon she agreed to refrain from doing so in the future.

Höcke, who is a history teacher himself, defended his choice of words and claimed not to know during the speech that it was a SA slogan. He described the sentence as a "common saying". It remains to be seen how the legal steps of Deutsche Telekom will be against Höcke in this context.
