Techno parade Train of Love: 20,000 celebrations for tolerance in Berlin!
On Saturday, August 30, 2025, the fascinating techno parade “Train of Love” will take place in Berlin. This tenth edition of the event begins at 1 p.m. and moves through the streets of the capital with the expected participation of around 20,000 people, as rbb24 reported. A total of 15 colorful techno trucks are expected, which will send a signal of love and solidarity with electronic music.
The route leads from Mauerpark via Friedrichshain and Alexanderplatz to Oranienstrasse. This parade will involve 18 collectives as well as numerous associations that want to spread a political message through the event. The motto “Basses Connect” underlines the communal nature of this demonstration, which is both a celebration of music and an expression of social cohesion.
Political dimension and mobilization
The "train of love" is registered as a political demonstration. Jens Schwan, spokesman for the event, is optimistic about the number of participants and expects a similar interest as in previous years, in which the police estimated the crowd to around 17,000. Despite the challenges that the organizers experienced in the past, the continued support shows that the event is still a relevant forum for political issues and social concerns. The 'train of love' sees itself as a left-wing answer to the Pegida demonstrations and aims to draw attention to the threats of openness in society.
The mobilization for this parade is impressive: out of three organizers, 30 are now active, which indicates the growing popularity and relevance of the event. Financing is also increasingly coming from donations, including a crowdfunding campaign that aims to raise up to 26,450 euros to ensure the continuation of the event Daily Mirror reported.
A look into the past
Despite the challenges of last year, which was characterized by incidents with bottle throws and attacks on rescue workers, the organizers are determined to continue this event. Jens Schwan emphasizes that the “Zug der Liebe” offers a space for positive social changes and a platform for various non -profit organizations, including the animal board and reporters without limits.
With a program that is reminiscent of previous successful demonstrations, the organizers want to send a strong sign this year too. The expected number of participants and the political dimension of the parade illustrate that the "train of love" is firmly anchored in the calendar of Berlin culture and conveys a clear message through music, community and solidarity.
