South Park Festival enthusiastic: Thousands celebrate the summer with sport and fun!
On Sunday there was a fantastic festival in the South Park, which not only turned the sun's rays again, but also the hearts of those present! With exciting hands -on activities, fragrant treats and a colorful program, the Spandauer and youth leisure facilities drowned the visitors - the joy was noticeable everywhere!
A wind tube shooting, challenging swords and, of course, the popular bouncy castles and a ninja warrior course provided action-packed entertainment! The creatives were able to demonstrate their artistic talents during the graffiti course, while on the spectacularly designed stage, varied demonstrations and workshops provided the best mood. A festival for the whole family that left nothing to be desired!
ceremonial honor for Anja Kosan
A special highlight was the ceremonial unveiling of the fame stone in honor of Anja Kosan, the rhythmic sports gymnast and Spandau athlete of 2023! District Mayor Frank Wewitig was pleased to keep a big speech right at the beginning of the festival and to welcome the numerous small and large guests in the South Park. "The Südparkfest offers us a great setting every year to show the Spandau citizens the range of Spandauer Sports," said Dr. Carola Brückner, the district councilor for education, culture, sport and facility management.
The highlight of the day was perhaps the popular game "Schlag the district mayor"! Here the best young basketball players had the chance to compete against lust. The winners were able to look forward to great prizes, including Alba tickets and a signed basketball from the professionals-a real dream for every young athlete!
a complete success for the district sports association
The Südparkfest, which is traditionally organized by the school and sports office, was a complete success and offered an exciting program for young and old! The festival received support from the district sports association Spandau and the sports children Berlin, which contributed significantly to the successful atmosphere. A crowning conclusion of the summer for Spandau - it is to be hoped that it will be at least as spectacular in the coming year!
