Study: Influence of non-medical investors on MVZ accounting behavior

Study: Influence of non-medical investors on MVZ accounting behavior

The ongoing debate about medical care centers (MVZ) continues to be fueled by unfounded assumptions. In order to promote evidence -based decision -making in health policy, the association of accredited laboratories in medicine (Alm e.V.) and the Federal Association of Medical Care Centers (BBMV e.V.) have Professor Dr. Frank-Ulrich Fricke, Professor of Health Economics at the Technical University of Nuremberg, commissioned to create a study. The study entitled "Evidence helps: Does the takeover by private, non-medical investors affect MVZ's billing behavior?" shows that compliance with the applicable regulative framework conditions should be checked by self -government and a data -based basis for further legal projects can be created.

In order to present the results of the public study, Alm e.V. and BBMV e.V. invite you to a joint press conference. In addition to the author of the study, Professor Dr. Frank-Ulrich Fricke, Sibylle Stauch-Eckmann, Chair of BBMV e.V., and Dr. Michael Müller, 1st chairman of Alm e.V., are available for questions. The moderation of the press conference takes over Dr. Robert Paquet, science journalist and author in the Observer Health. The press conference will take place on March 11, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Haus der Bundespresskonferenz, Schiffbauerdamm 4010117 Berlin. Interested parties can register either on the associations of the associations or by email for participation. The press conference will also be tracked by the Livestream of Press Conference.tv, where journalists have the opportunity to ask the participant with questions. Questions can also be submitted by email in advance.

From March 11, 2024, the study will be available for download on the website of Alm e.V. There is also information on the topic and participants as well as an alternative live stream.
