A variety of events in the Maria Rimkus House: Discover now!
In the heart of Berlin, in the newly renovated Maria Rimkus House, numerous cultural events take place that are intended to promote conversations and encounters between people. The house is located directly at the community park and offers extensive facilities with two group rooms, a larger hall and a separate pottery studio. Wheelchair users are very welcome. The volunteer team led by Ms. Reinfeld is looking forward to numerous visitors.
The diverse offering ranges from weekly dance afternoons to language courses to board games such as canasta or chess. For creative design, watercolor painting and various dance activities such as square and line dancing or Tai Chi Gong are regularly offered, which supports active community design. The weekly activities are summarized in the brochure “We meet!”, which is available in the district's facilities.

The upcoming program at the Maria Rimkus House contains exciting events for all age groups. Particularly noteworthy are:

The events are not only aimed at communicating culture, but also at providing access to cultural participation for people with low incomes. This is where the “KulturLeben Berlin” initiative comes into play, which has been offering unsold cultural places free of charge for 15 years. Pankow residents with low incomes can now register at community meeting places such as the Maria Rimkus House in order to take part in these offers. Registration is possible for people with a net monthly income of a maximum of 1,100 euros or for recipients of state transfer benefits. Proof of income is required for this.
District councilor Dominique Krössin also emphasizes the importance of this initiative, highlighting the partnership for access to culture. From March 2025, the Pankow meeting places will act as official registration points for KulturLeben Berlin's cultural offerings.
