Playground renovation: including diversity for children and adolescents!

The playground renovation in two areas was successfully completed. The southern area was equipped with climbing network, double swing and liana swinging device for older children and adolescents. The northern playground offers a retreat for toddlers with a playhouse slip-slip combination, balancing rod and wobbly plate. Particularly noteworthy are the inclusive games such as trampoline, stand/lying rocker and carousel. The participation of 103 children and adolescents in 2021 and an online participation via Mein.berlin.de were the basis for planning. The wishes for climbing options, swings and a slide were included in the design. The measure of € 300,000.00 was financed from the district investment planning. The renewal of benches, wastebasket, paths, sand surfaces and the creation of access to nursing vehicles and bicycle storage facilities complete the renovation.
