Pablo Picasso exhibition at the Steglitz estate: works from the Klewan collection

The exhibition "Picasso - Works from the Klewan Collection" in the Steglitz estate presents a variety of paper work by the important artist Pablo Picasso. The Klewan collection shows about 60 works by Picasso from 1910 to 1970, which demonstrate its stylistic diversity and creative development. Visitors have the opportunity to experience these works in the intimate environment of an early classicist manor house.

Within the exhibition, striking motif groups form leaves on the subjects of "artists and model", "portraits" and "mythological". The studio scenes with artists and model as well as portraits of different people, including Marie-Thérèse Walter, Dora Maar, Françoise Gilot and Jacqueline Roque, are central elements of the collection. The Minotaur bullmens, which became a central motif in Picasso's work in the 1930s, can also be seen in the exhibition.

The Klewan collection also includes extensive groups of other well -known artists such as Giacometti, Dubuffet, Maria Lassnig and Surrealists. A catalog with numerous illustrations in Wienand Verlag appears for the exhibition, which enables a deeper insight into Picasso.

The exhibition is funded from the district culture fund and the fund for the municipal galleries and can be viewed in the Steglitz estate with free admission from March to September 2024. The opening times are Monday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
