New queer space in Zehlendorf: place for young people creates community!

Anhaltinerstraße 7, 14165 Berlin, Deutschland - A new room for queer adolescents at the Zehlendorf S-Bahnhof was opened today: the "Q Zephir’s Queerspace". With a clear focus on young people between the ages of 12 and 21, this place offers a safe space to have fun, exchange ideas and find support. As part of this project, which Zephir gGmbH under the direction of Connie Schuricht, queer adolescents will be offered a place to live and feel good.

The importance of such a space is evident in the challenges with which many queer young people are faced. Many experience isolation, rejection or discrimination in different areas of life. The queer space wants to be an answer to these problems by creating an environment that promotes understanding and acceptance. Here the young people can make new friendships in a protected framework and share their experiences.

Various offers in the Queerspace

The queerspace offers a varied and creative program. This includes workshops, open offers, creative sessions and individual consultations. The support against anti -queer attacks is an important part of offering practical help to the participants. All offers are free of charge and are financed by the lucky spiral, which makes access easier for all young people.
