Sustainable fashion: Upcycling workshop for children in the Gottfried-Bennn library
The focus is on fashion in the Gottfried Bennn library, but from a sustainable perspective. The association "Until it falls from the body" is committed to sensitizing children and adolescents to the conscious handling of fashion and invites you to an upcycling workshop in the reopened Gottfried-Bennn library. In this workshop, the participants should learn something about the fashion industry and their dark sides and at the same time get the opportunity to become creative by designing their own fashion from used materials. The event will take place on Friday, February 16, 2024, from 3 p.m., is free of charge and requires pre -registration. Children aged 7 years.
The Berlin Fashion Week is over and the topic of fashion is on everyone's lips. But the workshop in the Gottfried Bennn library focuses on the sustainable side of fashion. The children and adolescents should not only become creative, but also to develop awareness of the working conditions in the fashion industry and the environmental effects of the almost fashion trend. This approach is particularly important in a large city like Berlin, which is known for its fashion trends. Such projects can encourage young people to select and consume their clothes more consciously.
In a table, information about the development of fast fashion and the environmental impact of the fashion industry could be listed.
Due to the workshop in the Gottfried Bennn library, children and adolescents could discover their own creativity and at the same time develop an understanding of sustainable fashion. Such initiatives contribute to raising awareness of the environmental impact and working conditions in the fashion industry and can contribute to a more responsible consumption behavior in the long term.
