College: Inner cinema: Exchange about music in the film with Berlin music school teachers
The Leo Borchard Music School in Berlin conducts a new series of events called "Kolleg: Inner-Kino" in cooperation with the Bali-Kino on Teltower Damm. This concert series is intended to promote exchange about music in the film between the teachers of the music school and the audience in Zehlendorf. On the evenings, a film is shown that was selected by a teacher of the music school and in which music plays an important role. Before the demonstration, the teacher will give a brief introduction to your film and then discuss it with the audience.
At the first evening in October, the film "Death in Venice" by Luchino Visconti was shown and explained by Konstantin Gottlob, a piano teacher of the music school. He spoke about his fascination for the classic and music of Gustav Mahler, which was used in the film.

On November 8th, Christian Kullack will present the film "Sweet and Lowdown". It is an ironic fictional biography of the second best jazz guitarist in the world, Emmet Ray, represented by Sean Penn. Penn even learned for the role, so that he did not need a double.
On December 13, Deborah Oskamp will present the film "The Sound of Music" (OMU). The film by Robert Wise from 1965 is one of the most successful Hollywood music films and received 5 awards from the Oscars.
The entrance for the events is at 8:15 p.m. and you start at 8:30 p.m. A reservation is not possible and the placement of space takes place according to availability. The regular admission prices of the Bali cinema apply, but all teachers of the Leo Borchard Music School have free admission.
