Ingeborg-Drewitz library closes for the construction of new IT technology-all information here!

At the end of October, new IT technology will be installed in the Ingeborg Drewitz library in Berlin. This requires a temporary closure of the library location, since neither borrowing nor return machines, research catalogs or databases can be used and the internet and WLAN access will not work. The work will be made in the week of October 30th. - 04.11.2023 take place.

During the closing week, events that do not require any technical requirements will take place as planned. Visitors who are registered for concerts, readings and workshops should find themselves 15 minutes before the start of the event at the entrance to the library on the 3rd floor of the shopping center "The Castle", where they are received by employees of the library team.

There are some events affected by the closure, including a sewing workshop for beginners, debate clubs, a reading with Bernadette Conrad and a trip around the world with the VHS. Spontaneous registrations for these events cannot be accepted due to the technical situation. Interested parties should therefore register by phone or email in good time before October 28, 2023.
