The Gottfried-Bennn library had to remain closed for the audience in the past few months due to extensive renovation work and an IT network expansion. Now all construction work in the house has been completed, and the library team has successfully mastered the move of the children's department to the ground floor, exchanged old library shelves with new ones and created a new event area. The library can now resume operation, but initially without a return system.
From Monday, February 12, 2004, the Gottfried Bennn library will open in a restricted mode: Media will be booked back to the service tenses by the library team. The house is accessible during the opening hours, the stocks can be loaned at the machines and returned to the service desks, events will take place and on site can be read and worked on the PCs. However, the new RFID return system still lacks important software that is necessary for commissioning.
Media of the Gottfried-Benn-Library can continue to be returned at all other locations of the Steglitz-Zehlendorf city library without transport fees by the end of February. The return subjects of the borrowed library media from the Gottfried-Bennn library were automatically adjusted.
The opening times of the Gottfried Bennn library are as follows: Monday to Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
