On November 10, 2023, the annual honorary ceremony of the district hero took place in the Albert Schweitzer campus. 28 children and adolescents between 10 and 21 were awarded.

As a citizen of Berlin, I am proud that so many committed young people live in our district. The honorary ceremony of the district hero is a great way to appreciate their commitment and their services.

In the evening event, the district hero received documents and gifts from district mayor Maren Schellenberg and youth councilor Carolina Böhm. It is important that the local political representatives recognize and appreciate the work of young people.

The district hero 2023 are involved in a wide variety of areas that enrich our district and its inhabitants in a variety of ways. Their use in scouts, schools, parishes, sports clubs, and other areas contributes significantly to the social and cultural life of our district.
