The history of the Steglitz-Zehlendorf adult education center: 150 years of further training tradition in Berlin. Event in the Steglitz estate on December 6th.
The adult education center celebrates this year: the first legal anchoring of the adult education center took place in 1919, followed by numerous start -ups from institutions. But the history of adult education in Steglitz-Zehlendorf goes back. As early as 1873, the "Association for Instructions" in Zehlendorf was founded, followed by the official start -up of the Steglitz and Zehlendorf adult education centers 46 years later. Thus, the Steglitz-Zehlendorf adult education center is now in a 150-year tradition, a place of basic, further education, the argument and coming together.
The author, lecturer and city guide Armin A. Woy researched the history of adult education in the southwest of the city and in particular the adult education centers in Steglitz and Zehlendorf and held in a 60-page brochure. This publication is presented in an event in the Steglitz estate. The district councilor for Education, Culture and Sport, Cerstin Richter-Kotowski, will open the event. The adult education center invites you to a small reception after the lecture.
