Sports aid and Deutsche Post present stamp series 2024 for sport

This year's stamp series "For Sport - Fascination of Games" was presented in the Berlin Olympic Stadium. Sports aid, the Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF) and Deutsche Post jointly presented the series, in which the motifs of three former world -class athletes were designed. The tennis legend Michael Stich, football Olympic champion Josephine Henning and the former ice hockey player Maren Valenti designed the brands. All three either took part in the Olympic Games or won a gold medal and are now active as an artist.

The painting by Michael Stich, "Courage", shows the colors of the Olympic rings in an abstract way. With her painting, Josephine Henning is devoted to the "Olympic feelings" and Maren Valenti puts the venue of this year's Olympic and Paralympic Games, Paris, the focus of her motive.

The motifs are brought into stamp form by Jan-Niklas Kröger, the stamp designer of Deutsche Post. Like all special postal value signs of the series "For Sport", the brands are supplied with a surcharge, the proceeds of which will benefit the sports aid to promote young and talent and top athletes.

The stamps are now available in the online shop or by phone at Deutsche Post. The Federal Ministry of Finance is the official editor of the brands with the imprint "Germany".

Sports aid has been supported by the Federal Ministry of Finance for over 55 years. The funding from the brands with the "Plus"- so far around 140 million euros- help German young and umbrella athletes on the way to their successes.

Here is a table with the information on the designed stamps:
