Hiking exhibition for five years Blue Community Berlin to see soon in the Spandau town hall
From November 1st to December 11th, 2023, the hiking exhibition "Five Years Blue Community Berlin" will now also be shown in the Spandau town hall. Seven display boards offer insights into the work of local actors and illustrate which measures in Berlin have already been taken to protect our water and where there is still a need for action. The exhibition was previously shown in the town halls of Reinickendorf, Pankow, Marzahn, Schöneberg and Kreuzberg.
On November 2, 2023 at 1 p.m., the exhibition in the column hall of the Spandau town hall will be ceremoniously opened. This is done by Thorsten Schatz, district councilor for building, planning, environmental and nature conservation, together with Johanna Erdmann from the Berlin water table.
Thorsten Schatz emphasizes that the exhibition will also present information about one of the largest renaturation projects in the Spandau district. The work in the Tiefwerder meadows from 2011 to 2015 led to positive changes in the moist meadow habitats and caused a sustainable improvement in the water balance and water quality.
Berlin has been a member of the Blue Community since spring 2018 and has committed to protect the water. The goal is to inform and sensitize the public about the precious property. The hiking exhibition of the project can now be viewed in the Spandau town hall from the beginning of November to mid -December 2023.
