Star singer of the parish of Holy Family attend district mayor of Spandau
On January 5, 2024, the star singers of the parish of Holy Family will visit the district mayor of Spandau to deliver the blessing of the star singers for the district administration. This traditional custom takes place at 11:45 a.m. in the entrance hall of the Spandau town hall. All Spandau citizens, as well as visitors, are cordially invited to take a look at the Sternsinger's blessings and to collect for children all over the world. In addition, representatives of the press are also cordially invited to take part in this event and report on it.
The star singing is an old custom that is practiced in many parts of Germany and the world at the beginning of the year. The children go from house to house as a star singer, sing songs and bring the blessing of the Three Kings. This campaign also serves to collect donations for needy children in developing countries. The star singers are usually in groups accompanied by adults. In Germany, the Stern singing is also known as Epiphany and is organized by many Catholic communities.
A visit to the star singers among political representatives is an important event because it symbolizes the connection between the church and the state. The reception of the blessing by the district mayor of Spandau shows the appreciation and recognition of religious traditions within the local administration. It is also an opportunity for the community to gather a good cause and to show solidarity with needy children.
In many municipalities and cities in Germany, the star singing is a permanent part of the beginning of the year. It demonstrates a strong local connection and the commitment to social and non -profit purposes. In this sense, visiting the star singers is not only an act of tradition, but also a symbol of community and charity.
