Cities partnership Spandau-Ashdod: Mayor Lasri as a guest!
This week Spandau was the host of an important delegation from the Israeli twin town of Aschdod. From September 9th to 11th, 2024, Mayor Yehiel Lasri, Vice Mayor Shimon Katznelson and the consultant for foreign affairs, Aryella Rosenthal, welcomed. The visit followed the journey of district mayor Frank Lobig to Israel in May and shows the continuous endeavor to deepen the long -term town twinning.The visit began with a warm welcome by district mayor Frank Werwig and several district councilors in the town hall of Spandau. It was a special moment when the importance and value of this partnership that has existed since 1968. On this occasion, Mayor Lasri expressed his conviction that the exchange between the cities of both countries promotes and enriches mutual understanding.
