In cooperation with Florida-Ice Manufaktur GmbH, the Spandau district office is once again organizing the popular “Room for Children's Dreams” competition. In this project, all interested parties are invited to design their favorite playground and use materials that they find at home. This year's competition is under the motto of the creative design of playground equipment. The district office Spandau is once again organizing the popular “Room for Children's Dreams” competition with Florida-Ice Manufaktur GmbH. In this project, all interested parties are invited to design their favorite playground and use materials that they find at home. This year's competition is under the motto of the creative design of playground equipment.

Children and adolescents can hand in their models, stating their name, age and contact information at the Spandau district office of Berlin or in the Florida Eis-Café in Berlin. City Councilor Thorsten Schatz emphasizes that there are no limits to young artists in this competition and is looking forward to the variety of creative entries. A jury will evaluate the works of art and select winners who receive Florida ishing vouchers. In addition, the Florida ice cream factory in consultation with the winners will support an improvement in a public playground with up to 1,000 euros.

The deadline for the models is July 30, 2024. Minor participants need the written consent of their custody. The legal process is excluded and profit transfer or payment is not possible. As a result of such an initiative, positive effects on the local community can be achieved. Children are encouraged to use their creative skills and shape their playground. Such events strengthen the sense of community and promote the integration of citizens in the design of their living environment.
