An exciting event in Spandau is imminent! On Thursday, November 14, 2024, the Spandau town hall opens from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for the annual high school fair, which is organized in cooperation with the local high schools by the regional school supervision and school and sports office. Parents and interested parties should paint this appointment red in the calendar!

This big meeting is the perfect opportunity to get first -hand information about the diverse secondary schools in the district. All facilities, including private high schools and the two upper level centers in Spandau, will be on site and give insights into their special profiles, priorities and school offers. This fair is particularly important for parents and custody of children in the sixth primary school class who are preparing for the registrations in March 2025.

Dr. Carola Brückner, the district councilor for Education, Culture, Sports and Facility Management, knows about the uncertainties associated with the move to high school: "The transition brings many questions, be it the registration process or what does not happen if the desired place is not available. Janika Jarling, the head of the school supervision Spandau, underlines the importance of this trade fair: "With so many high schools in Spandau, the decision for a suitable school can be challenging. The upper school fair takes place in the column passage and civil hall of the Spandau town hall (2nd floor). No registration is required, admission is free - so the doors are open to everyone who wants to know more!
