Spandauer Action März 2024: Diverse offers against sexism and racism

The Spandauer Action März 2024 is just around the corner and brings a diverse program for the residents of Spandaus. The motto "Frau-Leben-Freiheit" is celebrated in Staaken at the Persian New Year, while the "Artpace: Feminism" attracts curious visitors in Falkenhagener Feld. In addition, interested parties can learn more about the history of the Spandau family of Oehl when laying the stumbling block in the old town.

This year, the "Spandauer Action März 2024" combines the "Spandau girl and women's marärz" with the "international weeks against racism". The goal is to raise awareness of the public through a variety of events, workshops and rounds of conversation and to promote exchange in order to create awareness of the diverse forms of expression of sexism, racism and their interdependencies.

With more than 50 events, the Spandauer Action März sets a clear sign against any kind of exclusion and discrimination. District Mayor Frank Werwig emphasized the importance of the network of the Spandauer Action März and appreciates the office of the women's and equal opportunities officer as well as the Integration Office for their commitment.

The highlight of the international week against racism will be a central rally in front of the Spandau town hall, in which a broad alliance of civil society and politics will set a clear sign against racism. As a cooperation partner, the women's and equal opportunities officers of the Spandau district, the partnerships for democracy Spandau, the Senate Administration for Labor, Social Affairs, Equality, Integration, Diversity and Anti-Discrimination (SenasGiva) as well as the State Working Group on Equal Opportunities and Women's Commissioner of the Berlin districts (LAG).

The Spandauer Action März 2024 starts on February 29, 2024 in the Spandau citadel with a discussion round on the subject of “work, wages and reality”. Senator Kiziltepe will keep a greeting and Dr. Reyhan Şahin aka Lady Bitch Ray will hold a keynote.

A central rally "Human rights for everyone" will take place on March 21, 2024 on the forecourt of the Spandau town hall. All interested parties are cordially invited to take part in the - majority - free offers.
