Spandau moves: Free winter play places for families!

In October 2024, the popular range of movements starts again in Spandau under the motto "Spandau moves!". In the cold season, when many outdoor activities are no longer possible, the initiative offers the "winter game places". These events are specially designed to keep children and adolescents active even during the cold months and to promote their health.

From October to March, various sports clubs open their halls to offer families a free platform for sporting activities. The "winter game places" take place at a total of six locations in Spandau and offer a variety of movement options that are tailored to the needs of different age groups.

The district councilor for youth and health, Tanja Franzke, emphasizes the importance of this initiative: "In the cold season, many movements and offers for children and adolescents fall away due to the weather. These events have now been an integral part of the strategy "Spandau moves!" established.

For more information and registration for the events, interested parties can visit the websites of the respective sports clubs. So that the children remain physically active even during the cold months, the "winter game places" play a decisive role in promoting the joy of movement and health of the young Spandau.
