New play equipment in the spectrums inaugurated

parts of the playground in the scene of the spectrum between Spekteweg and Hohenzollernring in the eastern spectrum meadows were equipped with new play equipment. A new play area was created, consisting of a climbing tree play landscape with slides, balancing offers, a floor trampoline, a seesaw and a seating area. The renovation measure was financed from the Berlin-wide daycare and playground renovation program (KSSP) and the district project "Room for Children's Dreams". Due to the generous support of Vattenfall Wärme Berlin AG and Gofus e.V., additional play equipment could be set up. The Grassfinken daycare center has been sponsor for many years for this playground and Matthias Killing will take on another sponsorship for this playground.

The city of Berlin regularly invests in the renovation and expansion of playgrounds in order to offer the children a safe and appealing environment for playing. The scene of the spectacle becomes an attractive place for families from the surrounding area. The inauguration of the new play area was accompanied by various prominent personalities, including building councilor Thorsten Schatz, Andreas Busse from Vattenfall Wärme Berlin AG, Holger Witzig from Gofus e.V. and TV presenter Matthias Killing.

The children of the grass finch and everyone involved in the construction were also involved in the inauguration. The city attaches great importance to the integration of citizens and children in the planning and design of playgrounds. Children's participations were carried out when planning the specification of the spectrum in order to take into account the needs and wishes of the young users.

The company Zimmer.obst GmbH was commissioned to produce the play equipment and assemble on site. The garden and landscaping work was carried out by Reinhold Fehmer GmbH. The construction work began in November 2023 and after several months of hard work, the play area is now completed and ready for the children.

Overall, this measure shows the importance of playgrounds in urban environments and how a successful cooperation between companies, associations, city administration and citizens can contribute to a positive development of leisure opportunities for children. The city of Berlin sets a sign of a child -friendly environment and the promotion of social interaction in public space.
