Reading with Alena Schröder: World Day of the Book in Spandau
The Spandau City Library invites you to read the renowned author Alena Schröder on April 23, 2024, who will read out of her award -winning book “It is always so incredibly quiet”. The moving novel tells the story of a family that is faced with the loss of a loved one and deals with topics such as grief, guilt and healing in a unique way. The reading promises an evening full of literature enjoyment and inspiring stories.
Alena Schröder, freelance journalist and author in Berlin, studied history, political science and Latin American studies and attended the Henri Nannen School. Her debut novel "Young woman standing at the window, evening light, blue dress" and her new book are celebrated bestsellers. The reading offers guests the opportunity to exchange ideas with the author personally, ask questions and learn more about the development process of the book.
The event will take place on April 23, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. in the Spandau district central library. Although admission is free, a registration is requested due to limited space capacity.
