Repair of the Krampnitzer Weg: construction phases and traffic disruptions

The district office will start the repair of the Krampnitzer Weg on Monday, April 22nd, 2024. The measure extends over a distance of around 1.7 km from Sakrower Landstrasse to the Gößweinsteiner Gang and is carried out in five sections. Funding takes place from the means of structural road maintenance and the work is expected to take 11 weeks.

The work is carried out in the following five construction phases:
1st construction phase (04/22 to 06.05.): 2nd phase of construction (06.05. To 24.05.): Between Am Dorfwald and Krampnitzer Weg 7
3. Construction phase (May 24th to June 6th): Between Krampnitzer Weg 9 and Galandiweg
4. Construction phase (June 6th to June 21st): Between Galandiweg and Krampnitzer Weg 23/25
5. Construction phase (June 21st to July 5th): Between Krampnitzer Weg 25 and Gößweinsteiner Gang

Due to the low road width of 5 to 5.5 meters, full closures of the road sections are required during the construction work. The residents in the respective construction phases will largely not be accessible. Before the start of construction, the residents were informed about the work, the expected traffic disruptions and the impairments of bus lines 234 and N35. The private electric charging stations on the properties are not accessible during the construction period.

The work should be completed by July 5, 2024, provided that the weather conditions allow this. The access for emergency vehicles and garbage disposal is guaranteed during the construction phase.

The repair of the Krampnitzer Weges is an important step to maintain traffic routes in the district. The street is a significant connection for local traffic and the renewal will help to improve security and comfort for residents and users.
