The district office Spandau plans to expand the “Biberburg” bus stop in the amount of the health center of the same name. The goal is to improve the entry and exit of passengers and optimize the flow of traffic in the north. For this purpose, the board of the stop on the western road side is increased and the stop in the direction of Heerstrasse is relocated. The construction work is expected to begin on 04.11.2023 and are to be completed during the school holidays in order to keep traffic impairments on Gatower Strasse as low as possible.
During the construction work, the roadway is blocked on one side and a temporary stop is set up. In order to enable the way to the stop, a provisional path is created via the existing green strip. These measures can temporarily lead to traffic disruptions.
The planned construction work has potential effects on professional commuters and residents. However, the increased bus stop and the laying in the north can lead to improved accessibility and a more smooth flow of traffic.
