SOVD inclusion run 2024: Register now for the inclusive running event of the year
The annual inclusion run of the Social Association of Germany (SOVD) takes place on October 12th in Berlin. This year the run is under the motto of "unexpectant impairments" to draw attention to forgotten aspects. The Paralympics winner in the 2016 shot put, Franziska Liebhardt, acts as the patron of the run. Registration for the run is now possible.
The CEO of the SOVD, Michaela Engelmeier, will start again this year. She emphasizes how moving it is to see how the run brings people with and without disabilities and creates new friendships. It is not about winning, but together to prepare for a good time, to support each other and to develop understanding for each other.
The SOVD inclusion run starts on Saturday, October 12th at 10 a.m. on Tempelhofer Feld in Berlin. There are six different competitions to choose from, including a Bambini run (300 meters), a relay race (4 x 400 meters) and runs over 1, 2.5, 5 and 10 kilometers. The supporting program promises entertainment for all participants. The start and destination of the competitions is located near the Tempelhofer Damm park entrance at the Tempelhof S- and U-Bahnhof. Anyone who is interested can participate, regardless of whether they run, go, roll, skate or in a wheelchair.
