Solar power for students: Balcon power plant at the Wilhelmstadt primary school

The energy transition is not only an issue for adults, but also for the latest generations! A particularly interesting project is now being started in Berlin-Spandau: the German Environmental Aid (DUH) brings a balcony power plant to the Wilhelmstadt primary school. This innovative initiative lets students experience the miracle of solar energy up close!

Imagine the students can observe how sun rays are converted into green stream! This is exactly what enables the innovative plug-in solar system, which are typically installed on balconies or terraces. It becomes part of everyday school life and is intended to explain to the children in an exciting way how they can actively contribute to energy production and climate protection.

throws on climate formation

But that's just the beginning! What questions are in the room? How is the power plant integrated into the lessons? And what electricity can the students produce with it? All of these topics will be discussed on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, from 11:15 a.m. as part of a press event on the campus of the Wilhelmstadtschule. The DUH will also propose and discuss further measures for climate formation.

The campus is located in Wilhelmstraße 28b, 13593 Berlin - an ideal place to arouse the curiosity of the students! If you want to be there, you can register under press@duh.de . The DUH newsroom is happy to be available for exciting O-tones or interviews.

This impressive project will be reality thanks to the generous support of the German Postcode lottery. A truly future -oriented project that should sensitize young heads to the challenges of climate change!

The connection of the formation of the formation and practical application of renewable energies is therefore of the greatest importance and harbors the potential to train the next generation of environmentalists. This initiative is a step in the right direction and shows how important it is to integrate environmental protection into the everyday life of children!
