Mental stress: This is how the Germans fight against stress!
In Germany, inflation continues to burden citizens, with 51 percent of the population concerned with increasing prices. Political uncertainties, both nationally and internationally, are another main concern for 45 percent. In addition, 44 percent report concerns about increasing social division. This information comes from a current survey by IPSOS and the Hellobetter online therapy platform. More than half of the respondents stated that their worries have increased last year. Generations Y and Z feel special stress, affected by 35 and 32 percent of stress in jobs and private life.
Despite these challenges, the Germans have their strategies for coping with stress. Around 39 percent of the respondents seek relaxation in nature, while 22 percent of listening to music feel helpful. Family and partnership are essential to coping with stress for 25 percent, and 18 percent rely on sporting activities. Talks about worries have 37 percent of those surveyed with their partner, with women taking more close friends.
