Sixth German arrested for rape in Mallorca

The Spanish police arrested a sixth German man after a 20-year-old German stated that they were raped by several men in a hotel on Ballermann. According to the police, however, the crime scene was different from than initially reported. The last arrested German had met a German woman on Thursday night in the party stronghold on Ballermann. Later, five German friends of the man had entered the room, some of which are said to have raped the woman while others watched. The woman was finally able to flee out of the room and alert the police with the help of the hotel receptionist.

It is so far unclear whether the man, whom the woman had first met, was involved in the alleged rape. In any case, he was not one of the five Germans who were arrested. According to the Spanish newspaper "Ultima Hora", the approximately 20-year-old vacationer had gone to his hotel room with the man of the same age. When four drunk friends of the man appeared and she wanted to go, she was prevented from it and raped by some of the men.

The place of residence of the perpetrators and the victim is currently not known. So far, there is no further information on the incident.

Again and again there are sexual assault on the Balearic Island of Mallorca. The Spanish police are decisive against such acts and asserts the perpetrators to ensure safety and protection of vacationers.
