Bei einem schweren Verkehrsunfall im Berliner Westen kam es am Dienstagmorgen zu einem heftigen Zusammenstoß. Ein Lastkraftwagen und ein Pkw waren in den Unfall verwickelt, bei dem beide Fahrzeuge erheblichen Schaden nahmen. Glücklicherweise wurde niemand ernsthaft verletzt. Der Unfall ereignete sich gegen 8:30 Uhr auf der Kreuzung der Friedrichstraße und der Otto-Suhr-Allee in Charlottenburg. Nach ersten Erkenntnissen der Polizei fuhr der Lastkraftwagen bei Rot über die Ampel und kollidierte mit dem Pkw, der geradeaus in Richtung Friedrichstraße fahren wollte. In a serious traffic accident in the west of Berlin, there was a violent collision on Tuesday morning. A truck and a car were involved in the accident, in which both vehicles took considerable damage. Fortunately, nobody was seriously injured. The accident occurred at around 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Friedrichstrasse and Otto-Suhr-Allee in Charlottenburg. In a serious traffic accident in the west of Berlin, there was a violent collision on Tuesday morning. A truck and a car were involved in the accident, in which both vehicles took considerable damage. Fortunately, nobody was seriously injured.

The accident occurred at around 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Friedrichstrasse and Otto-Suhr-Allee in Charlottenburg. According to the initial knowledge of the police, the truck drove over the traffic lights at red and collided by car that wanted to drive straight towards Friedrichstrasse. Both vehicles were badly damaged by the collision, the car was literally pushed under the truck.

The fire brigade and rescue workers were quickly on site to secure the scene of the accident and to supply the injured. Fortunately, both the truck driver and the driver of the car had only suffered minor injuries and could be treated on site. Nevertheless, they were taken to the hospital for further examination.

Friedrichstrasse had to be blocked for several hours in both directions in order to be able to carry out the accident recording and the rescue work. The traffic was diverted, which led to considerable traffic jams in the area.

The exact cause of the accident is now the subject of the police investigation. There is a suspicion that the truck driver disregarded the red light of the traffic light. A blood sample was removed in order to be able to determine possible alcohol or drug use. The traffic police appeal to all road users to always be vigilant and in particular to consider the traffic rules in order to avoid accidents like this.

Such serious accidents once again illustrate the dangers in road traffic and the need for safe driving behavior. Every road user is encouraged to ensure their own security and that of the other road users. It is to be hoped that this accident will not have long -term health effects for the people involved and that they can recover from this shock soon.

The accident site was cleaned and released after completion of the rescue work. The traffic on Friedrichstrasse was able to flow unhindered again. Nevertheless, this accident remains a memorial for how important it is to always be careful and foreseen in road traffic. This is the only way to avoid accidents like this.
