The force of the collision was so strong that the car was dragged about 100 meters through the track bed. In this accident, four occupants of the vehicle suffered injuries, including two. All injuries had to be taken to the hospital, while the passengers of the tram were not harmed. While the demolished tram was recovered, Casterfeldstrasse remained impaired at times, and the railway operations were disturbed due to an overhead line damage, as Mannheim24 reported.
