School on the garden field celebrates reopening after extensive renovation

After a comprehensive renovation, the school on the garden field is now ready to open its doors again. After around seven years of intensive construction work, the pupils and the entire school community can finally return to their traditional location at Gartenfelder Straße 81. The return took place before the summer vacation when the first learning groups moved into the freshly renovated building.

This opening is not only a milestone for the school community, but also a sign of the continuous development and improvement of educational institutions in Berlin. The retreat from outsourcing to Seecktstraße 2 is perceived by many as a positive step, since the school in its home country finally receives the necessary recognition and support.

Numerous important personalities from politics and education are invited to the ceremonial opening of the school on the garden field. Frank Luke, the district mayor, is also expected among the guests. Dr. Carola Brückner, district councilor for education, culture, sport and facility management, will also be present to emphasize the importance of this event. Headmaster Wolfgang Teuscher will lead the event and welcome the school community.

The opening will take place on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. in Gartenfelder Straße 81, 13599 Berlin. On this occasion, press representatives are invited to accompany the celebrations and report on the return of the school.
