The operator of the Ferris wheel, Erik Schubert, confirmed the technical error and explained that an electronic component was damaged. Fortunately, the fire brigade did not have to intervene, and all passengers could escape from the situation without prejudice.

Erik Schubert admitted that the situation was very uncomfortable, but also emphasized that all passengers received their money back for the trip - at least 7.50 euros per person.
