The focus: Citizens discuss nature conservation and relaxation!

Matterhornstraße, 14129 Berlin, Deutschland - In the Johanneskirche Schlachtenensee, a lively information event of the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district, which met with great interest, took place on Friday, October 11, 2024. Around 50 citizens discussed in workshops on the topics of nature conservation, local recreation and orientation. The suggestions and ideas from the thematic tables will now flow into the planning of the project.

Special attention was paid to the improvement of the bathing areas and toilet facilities as well as the regulation of parking in local recreation. The nature conservation table addressed the path construction and the overuse of areas, while the need for uniform orientation boards was emphasized at the orientation table. Environmental city councilor Aykal was enthusiastic about the committed participation of the residents and emphasized the importance of their suggestions for the future design of the forest park landscapes in order to protect nature and create recreation rooms.
