Saxony shines at the Innotrans 2024: Strong joint stand in Berlin
Saxony is once again on the international stage! In Berlin, where the best heads of the rail industry come together, the Free State presents itself in an impressive form on the Innotrans. From September 24th to September 27th there are no fewer than 28 companies and institutes that shine together with Wirtschaftsförderung Sachsen GmbH (WFS). Hall 7.2b, as of 100 - this is the place where innovation meets tradition!
"A joint stand of superlatives", according to the WFS, which has realized the greatest representation this year. And that's not all! A total of 61 Saxon companies show their skills with their own stands or under the strong roof of the industry network Rail.s. Here it becomes clear that Saxony has established itself as a pioneer in traffic technology!

The Saxon State Secretary for Digitization and Mobility, Ines Fröhlich, is also on site and will get an idea of the innovations. With a tour of the knife and its participation in a forum on the subject of "Innovations in rail transport", it confirms the importance of the Saxon railway industry. "250 companies and over 15,000 employees - that is an impressive record!" Explains Fröhlich enthusiastically. "We are ready to make rail traffic more secure and more energy -efficient through automation and digitization!"
WFS managing director Thomas Horn goes on and emphasizes the diversity and depth of the solutions presented. "We have almost 200 years of tradition in rail technology! The latest developments in sustainable mobility solutions and intelligent transport systems are evidence that we want to actively help shape the future," says Horn. The joint stand will be the hotspot for international network work, on September 25th over 400 participants from all over Europe are expected!

A special highlight is the participation of a Turkish delegation that is looking for cooperation opportunities in the Saxon rail industry. The international exchange is further promoted with strong connections via the Rail.s network and existing partnerships. "We are ready for the challenges of the rail transport of the future!"
And these are not the only highlights! The Set4future Innovation Award brings a breath of fresh air to the scene. The winners of this renowned award, which present climate -friendly mobility and innovative logistics technologies, show what Saxony has to offer!
