Looking for living space for people with mental impairment in Reinickendorf

In the Reinickendorf district, there is an acute lack of living space for people with mental disabilities. This means that carriers who support this group of people lose more and more apartments. District City Councilor Uwe Brockhausen and the district psychiatry coordinator Christina Rühmann therefore call up private house and apartment owners to provide living space for people with psychological impairments.

The situation has recently moved up because a carrier in Reinickendorf can no longer use several apartments and has to look for alternative living opportunities. In the next two years, rental contracts for other objects will also expire, which will then no longer be available. This will further tighten the difficult situation.

The district office therefore urgently asks that private owners provide possible living space for mentally ill people in Reinickendorf. Christina Rühmann, the district psychiatry coordinator, is the contact for appropriate messages.

Overall, this shows that the housing market in Berlin also affects particularly disadvantaged groups of people such as people with psychological impairments and urgently need to find solutions in order to make appropriate living space available to these people.
