Change fathers: stories and poetry at the special event in Reinickendorf

An exciting event awaits the citizens of Reinickendorf! On Sunday, October 13, 2024, at 3 p.m., the museum opens its doors for a promising event, which is under the provocative motto "becoming a father, being very father, it is very much". A true festival day of the fathers! Renowned personalities such as Bettina Kerwien and Marlis Kaufmann will take the stage together with the "Memorial Workshop Reinickendorf". The author Claudia Johanna Bauer leads through the afternoon and will constantly stimulate the profound discussions.

Cultural city councilor Harald Muschner (CDU) emphasizes the immense importance of this discussion: "The examination of the role of fathers in our society is of great importance." And further: "This event offers the opportunity to exchange stories and experiences and to develop a better understanding of different patients." This is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the multifaceted worlds of paternity!

memories and poetry of fathers

Role model, enemy or friend? The roles of our fathers are never silent, they walk in the zeitgeist! Contemporary witnesses from different generations bring their memories with them. From the stories of the “soldiers' fathers” from World War II up to the progressive fathers of the 68 movement, the diversity of paternity is impressively developed. Particularly exciting: There will also be contributions to "fathers poetry"! And not only Wilhelm Busch will be heard - a solid selection awaits visitors.

This cultural highlight is realized in close cooperation between VHS Reinickendorf with the Reinickendorf Museum.

And best of all: participation in this significant exchange is completely free of charge! But be careful: a prior registration is necessary to secure a place with this unique experience.
