Urban Folklore: Bardomaniacs Live in Berlin-Tegel on February 16, 2024
On February 16, 2024 at 7.30 p.m., a top-class musical event will take place in the Humboldt Library in Berlin-Tegel. The Bardomaniacs, a band that is inspired by melodies, rhythms and songs from all over the world, will appear there and inspire the audience with their diverse sounds.
The band, led by accordion player and band founder Bardo Henning, feels committed to tradition and gives rise to its own compositions from the feather of the sophisticated musician. Cultural city councilor Harald Muschner (CDU) raves about the variety of musical aromas and substances that the Bardomaniacs in the bubbling cauldron of the world music metropolis of Berlin meet. This creates urban folklore in the best sense, enriched with the sounds and rhythms of the city.
The concert therefore promises a mixture of an inclusion, volume and dirty, in which traditional polkas are underlaid with breakbeats and unconventional percussion instruments enter the stage. The Bardomaniacs, consisting of Andreas Kohlmann (percussion, voice), Bardo Henning (accordion, voice) and Cornelia Ottinger (saxophone, voice), show that they can make music across genre and connect elements from different styles.
The concert is funded by the decentralized cultural work and thus contributes to the cultural offer of the city of Berlin. Music lovers and fans of world music sounds should therefore not miss this event.
