Skatt tournament of the Reinickendorfer senior leisure facilities: Heiligensee triumphs!

This year the Skatturnier of the Reinickendorfer senior citizens' leisure facilities (SFS) took place, in which a total of 24 participants competed in teams of three. The tournament was played in three rounds with 18 games each per round. In the end, the SFS Heiligensee 2 team secured the challenge cup with 5696 points, followed by Team SFS Schäfersee 1 (4700 points) in second place and the team from SFS Adelheidallee 1 (4487 points) in third place.

particularly highlighted is Hans Hoffmann from the SFS Heiligensee, who was not only part of the winning team, but also the best single player of the tournament with 2785 points. The team thanked for the congratulations and hopes for a successful title defense next year if the tournament will take place in the SFS Heiligensee.

District Mayor Emine Demirbüken-Wegner (CDU) expressed a positive statement about the increasing cooperation of the senior citizens' leisure facilities and announced further events for the year, including a star hike in June, a double head tournament and a table tennis tournament during the autumn holidays. These events are intended to help strengthen the sense of community among the seniors and to grow the leisure facilities closer together.

It can therefore be seen that in addition to sporting competition, the social aspect also plays an important role in such events. The seniors have the opportunity to exchange ideas, to make new acquaintances and to have fun together. The SFS skate tournament is therefore not only a sporting competition, but also an opportunity for community education.
