Reinickendorfer women in the lead 2024: Apply now!

The district mayor of Reinickendorf, Emine Demirbüken-Wegner, called for participation in the “Reinickendorfer women in the lead” competition. The competition is intended to make female managers visible and serve as role models to enable more women in management positions. The application deadline runs until April 26, 2024 and is aimed at Reinickendorf entrepreneurs, freelancers who employ female managers. A jury of representatives of the economy and politics of the district will select the winner, who will receive a modern sculpture and a certificate as part of a solemn event on May 23, 2024.

Historically, management positions in companies are often still male, which means that women are underrepresented in such positions. The competition is intended to help reduce this imbalance and to encourage women in management positions.

The application documents for the competition are available on the district office's website and questions can be addressed to the deputy head of business development, Christine Kretlow, or the equal opportunities officer, Birgit Haase. Interested women in management positions or those who want to propose a candidate are encouraged to apply until April 26, 2024 and thus appreciate the services and successes of female managers in Reinickendorf.
