Reinickendorf badge of honor for Peter Hahn and Dorothea Peichl: role models of commitment
A festive day for Reinickendorf! Yesterday two heroes of social engagement were awarded the coveted Berlin badge of honor: Peter Hahn and Dorothea Peichl. These outstanding personalities have been in the service of the community for years and increased their quality of life with great commitment and passion.
District Mayor Emine Demirbüken-Wegner (CDU) paid the two respect: "Mr. Hahn and Ms. Peichl are shining examples of the priceless commitment that holds our society together. They show us what it means to support people with passion and energy and to strengthen the sense of community sustainably. In the name of the Reinickendorf and all Reinickendorfer, I would like to thank you from the heart."
Peter Hahn - a football visionary!
Peter Hahn has been devoting himself to young football for over 50 years. As a youth leader and trainer of the RFC Liberta 1914 e.V., he significantly shaped the fate of the association. But that's not all! He organizes the annual Pentecost tournament and provides a happy Christmas with gifts for the youth teams. A commitment that is second to none!
Dorothea Peichl - the educational pioneer!
Dorothea Peichl is no less impressive! It has developed an innovative concept for early mathematical education, which has been successfully implemented in daycare centers and primary schools in Reinickendorf since 2015. Her commitment knows no limits - as a member of the action fund jury, she has paved the way for numerous social and educational projects. In addition, in 2021 she founded the Association of Education and Gesellschaft e.V. and actively headed two literary groups in the library on Lake Schäfersee. A true role model in the educational landscape!
District City Council for Sport and Culture, Harald Muschner (CDU), was also full of praise: "Commitment like that of Peter Hahn and Dorothea Peichl gives the district to support and inspire children and young people. This award is more than deserved."
