Reinickendorfer district office introduces 10 e-bikes and saves 3.5 t CO2 every year

according to a report by www.berlin.de CO2-neutral administration. In 2023, 10 e-bikes were procured for the school house champions and school house champions of the school office. This measure enables an estimated 3.5 t CO2 save annually.

The e-bikes are used at various school locations to manage the extensive and decentralized terrain and the supply of various school locations in a climate-friendly way. The funds for this are provided from the Berlin Energy and Climate Protection Program ( Bek ) of the Senate Department for Transport, Mobility, Climate Protection and the Environment. The district climatic position has raised the funds and the school office uses it for this purpose.

District Mayor Emine Demirbüken-Wegner ( CDU ) was pleased with the procurement of the e-bikes. She emphasized that duty bikes have been used at various administrative locations of the district for two years, but the colleagues could not effectively use them at the far away locations. The purchase of the e-bikes is therefore a big profit and takes the administration a big step closer to the common goal of working CO2-neutral.

District City Councilor Harald Muschner ( CDU ) was on site when the e-bikes were delivered and expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative of the school house champions. He praised their commitment to climate protection and emphasized that the e-bikes were a good alternative to the car.
